Created by the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction
This extensive toolkit from the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) is designed to assist employers in the trades in addressing substance use issues within their workplaces. The toolkit recognizes the unique challenges faced by workers in the trades, such as work-related injuries, stress, and a “work hard, play hard” culture that may reinforce heavy substance use. It aims to create supportive work environments where employees feel comfortable seeking help.
The toolkit includes a variety of resources, such as posters, videos, podcasts, and guidance documents, to help employers prevent substance use harms, educate employees about substances and their effects, address employee substance use concerns, and find services and support for both employees and employers.
